Invest & Fund is an innovative peer to peer market place providing finance to residential property developers. The business has grown swiftly and in a controlled fashion. As a regulated business operating in financial services the operational, governance, risk and control issues are complex and interwoven.


To identify and relationship manage borrowers and introducers of residential property development loans

and residential property bridging loans for experienced property developers. To be responsible and

accountable for the origination and structuring of suitable new loans and be part of the on-going

monitoring of existing loans within their region.


ey Accountabilities:

Conduct yourself always in accordance with Invest and Fund’s core values including treating Customers Fairly

Utilise and leverage your experience and expertise to identify and screen for credit worthy lending opportunities with an appropriate risk adjusted return for the lenders.

To be the primary Invest and Fund interface with existing customers, potential borrowers and professional introducers

Key Responsibilitie

Origination and execution of residential development and bridging deals to create a strong pipeline of deal flow

Building and developing new and existing relationships with Brokers and Developers alike

Researching new deals or enquiries to assess the suitability of the security

Define and execute our sales and marketing strategy across all property developers (direct) and via brokers and partners (indirect)

Ability to be involved in every aspect of the lifecycle of the deal – structuring, underwriting and executing

Ongoing management of the deal by attending monthly meetings on site and manage monthly reporting

Recommending appropriate LTV, rate, term and interest terms

Reviewing of Property Valuations and Monitoring Surveyor Reports

Achieve and exceed sales targets as set by Head of Business Development

Writing deal synopsis

Build awareness of the brand and products (with aid of the marketing team)

Developing a rational for unusual cases and communicate options and views to credit teams and their consideration

Owning and understanding the dynamics of your region to ensure that the strategy is regularly reviewed and adjusted where necessary

Monitoring of ongoing projects through regular dialogue with valuers and monitoring surveyors including site visits

Swift identification and internal escalation of potential problems during the application process

Strong track record of business development in the financial services sector

Ability to work collaboratively from a distance, as you will be working away from the head office but you’’ need to adapt the Invest & Fund business practices and culture.

Extensive experience building new and managing existing relationships

Proven ability to balance the requirements of a budget with the maintenance of quality and treating customer fairly


Desirable

Experience originating, structuring and monitoring residential development and bridging loans across different credit cycles

Experience of secured lending, bridge finance, development finance by both corporations and SPVs

Strong understanding of mortgage and financial services market

Operated recently under the FCA TCF, ALM and KYC frameworks

Experience of working in a credit sanctioning department or been involved in producing documents and a business case for sign off by credit sanctioning
