Business Development Executive – London, UK

We’re looking for a Business Development Executive to help us grow our revenue by signing up more business and corporate customers.

Reporting to the Head of Business Development and working closely with the CEO and other senior stakeholders from across the company, you will be responsible for growing our revenue by signing up new business customers. You will identify, develop and build relationships with a broad range of partners to generate leads, which you will close. Your key success metric will be the revenue earned from businesses you’ve signed up.

Salary Range: £40,000 - £50,000, plus commission

Location: Shoreditch, London

You'll need to prove your ability to:

  • Prospect for new business and build a sales pipeline
  • Develop business relationships and generate referrals
  • Close deals and meet revenue targets

You should have the following:

  • 3+ years’ sales experience in a financial services environment
  •  A degree in something – Mathematics, Business, Music, Art – we don’t mind
  • Total commitment to keeping your CRM up to date
  • A great presenter and communicator

It'd be great if you also have:

  • An established network in the fintech and/or payments ecosystems
  • Experience with both the personal app (available in the app stores) and the Fire Business Account (hint – you can sign up for a free sole trader account at
  • An understanding of European payments regulation – particularly the PSD2 ( and the Regulatory Technical Standards ( - PDF) and maybe a view about open banking in the UK (

As a member of the team you will be contributing to the building of a new and innovative fintech digital account, helping businesses to change the way they pay and get paid.
